Hello there I will like to know if you’re available for a vacuum repair service and also if you take credit cards as a method of payment. Hope to read from you soon..?
I have a Kitchen Aid Stand mixer. Model #KSM150PSGA. The speed control lever no longer locks in place, so if on it’s always on. I have to unplug to turn off.
Is this something you could repair? And if yes, what would be the approximate cost of repair?
Thanks
Hi Shirley,
I believe you already brought your stand mixer in and I was able to repair it for you. We don’t normally repair mixers, but we will try to help when we can.
Dan
Love your website, and it would be great if you could post your hours there.
Best wishes, Kathy
p.s. I’ve had you repair my Panasonic vacuum several times and I bought a red German vacuum from you that the person who cleans my home doesn’t use but I LOVE.
I broke my gen 4 Kirby. Sucked up something that broke fins off the inside. It is still stuck in there. Would you repair a Kirby? Thank you for your time, Deb
I know it has been a while since you posted this question, I am sorry for the delayed response. Yes, we service central vacuums. Call me at the store to discuss.
I have a Singer Touch and Sew in a cabinet that needs cleaning and service. Every once in a while it doesn’t wind bobbin correctly and then the bobbin gets fouled in the housing and the machine locks. Is there an easy way to get it out of the cabinet to drop off to you? Also do you rent sewing machines.?
Hello,
I just wanted to say thank you for recommending the Sebo X4 vacuum to me. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love it. It blows the socks off of my 2 year old Dyson (which I hated). I have two dogs, I vacuum up everyday after them, the Sebo is so easy to maneuver it makes the chore so much easier. They really thought through the tools to make them user friendly. It was my first time in your store, I found you to be so confident in your products it was hard to say no.
All the best to you from a truly satisfied customer,
Hi Kelly,
I am so glad that you are happy with your vacuum purchase. I try to ask the right questions so I can match customers with the right vacuum. Too often people come into the store and tell me about the vacuum they bought from the big box store that doesn’t live up to its claims. I service all types of vacuums, but I only sell vacuums that do the job right.
Thank you for the positive feedback!
Do you repair Oreck vacuums? I just took it to the local Oreck dealer to have it serviced about a month ago. It stopped working today. I tried to turn it on and it wouldn’t turn on. As such, I am reluctant to take it back to Oreck. Since it broke soon after I took it in, I question their reliability. Thank you.
Yes, we repair and sell Oreck vacuums. I am sorry that you had a bad experience with the dealer. I would be glad to take a look at it for you. It may be a simple repair. I am at the store Tuesday through Friday from 10 AM to 6 PM and on Saturday for 10 AM to 3 PM.
Yes, we fix older Singer sewing machines. We fix all brands of sewing machines and vacuums. I especially love the old black Singer Featherweight machines; they last forever!
Hi there! I have a Numatic “Henry” vacuum that decided to stop working. I just got it in July so it may be covered under the company’s warranty. Do you happen to service these types of vacuums?
Hi Carrie,
It’s unusual that a Henry would have a problem so quickly. It might be something minor, if you would like to bring it in I would be happy to look at it.
Dan
Hi – I have a Pfaff 230 and a Pfaff 262 sewing machines that I am looking to get rid of. Does your sewing machine person take donations for parts? I am local – I can bring the machines to your store.
do you work on Hoovers? what are your store hours? my hoover has a torn cord where the power head goes into the long nozzle, I think this needs to be replaced, do you do that? thank you
Yes Joanne we do work on Hoover vacuums (and most other brands). Please bring your vacuum into the store when you have a chance. Our hours are 10-6 on Tuesday through Friday and 10-3 on Saturday. We are closed on Sunday on Monday. When you come in I will give you an approximate price for the repair.
Dan
Hello, I was in there at the end of October (I think). I asked many questions and took down some notes on the vacuums. You were very helpful. My home has hardwood and low and mid pile carpeting. I am leaning towards the Miele Titan. Let me know if the Delphi or Olympus (or equivalent to Polaris) would be a choice as well. I waited b/c of some reviews about the Titan having a short cord and tipping easily, but I am pretty set on the Miele. I have a 20 percent off coupon at Bed Bath and Beyond. Let me know what you can work out. I would prefer to buy from you. Thank you for your time,
Tammy Corwin
The Miele Titan is the right vacuum for you because it has a HEPA filter and the parquet floor brush that the Delphi does not. The Miele cleaning radius is 29 1/2 feet which is average for a canister vacuum. The 20 percent off coupon from Bed Bath and Beyond excludes Miele vacuums in the fine print. I will honor the Bed Bath and Beyond or Internet price. The advantage to buying from a vacuum professional is that you will get personalized advice which will result in your getting a vacuum that truly suits your cleaning needs. I would prefer you bought your vacuum from me too; I appreciate the business.

Yes, we take credit cards and I am available to service your vacuum.
Hello, I have an Odyssey vacuum. Can you tune that up? Running OK now.
No Stef, I can’t. You should take it out on the lake and enjoy it! How are you and Lenore doing?
Can you service Dyson vacuum cleaners? I have one that will no longer power on.
Yes, I service Dysons. Please bring it in when you are in the area.
I have a Dyson vacuum that I would like cleaned and serviced. Is that a machine you can service and what would be the cost and time frame?
Yes Allison, we service Dyson vacuums.
Turn around is usually pretty quick. Usually no more than 72 hours.

Do you sell used/refurnbished canister vacuums?
Looking for something for my daughter for her rental house. Older house
mostly hardwood floors – figured a canister vacuum would be best.
Hi Patricia,
We have a few reasonably priced used vacuums in the store. Come on in and choose one that will meet your daughter’s needs.
Dan
Do you service Shark vacuums? My puppy chewed through the cords on both of mine and the cords have to be replaced. Thanks!
Hi Meghan,
I can replace the cords on your Sharks for you. Please bring them in. Good thing puppies are so cute!
Dan
Do you offer trade ins? I have two bagless machines but after reading your comments, I would like to get rid of them. Thanks!
Hello Susan,
No, I don’t do trade-ins. You will be so much happier with a bagged vacuum!
Best,
Dan
Our Electrolox model 1590 central vacuum system died today, and we need it fixed or replaced.
Hi Hank,
Bring it in, Electrolux can usually be repaired.

Sewing machines usually have two screws that hold them into the cabinet. Have someone else support the machine while you man the screwdriver. Voila!
